Empower Farmers: To foster direct, equitable, and sustainable relationships with local coffee farmers, supporting their livelihoods and promoting environmentally responsible farming practices.

Educate and Inspire: To share the rich narratives behind each bean, educating coffee enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike about the diverse origins, processing methods, and flavor profiles of Indonesian coffee.

Showcase Diversity: To highlight the incredible varietals and unique characteristics of coffees from every corner of Indonesia, from the volcanic soils of Java to the highlands of Sumatra and beyond.

We are deeply committed to sustainability and social impact, ensuring that with every cup you enjoy, you're not just experiencing incredible flavor, but also contributing to brighter futures for our farmers and their families. The Beginning

Mr. Mikhael Rudy, a dedicated coffee enthusiast and social innovator, was inspired to foster positive change in underserved regions across Indonesia. In 2012, he established Gerakan Daerah Tertinggal, an NGO in collaboration with Indonesia’s Ministry of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration.

The organization aimed to empower local communities economically by encouraging the cultivation of coffee and improving social conditions in remote areas.

Birth of Kopi Tanah Air Kita

Building on this foundation of social upliftment, Mikhael Rudy launched Kopi Tanah Air Kita in 2015. His vision was to create a local brand that would not only produce high-quality coffee but also serve as a catalyst for national pride and sustainable development. Through meticulous cultivation and a focus on quality, KTIK quickly earned recognition in the Indonesian coffee landscape.

Rise of Baracik One Brew and Coffee Culture

Kopi Tanah Air Kita, however, extended beyond production. Mickhael Rudy’s entrepreneurial spirit fueled the creation of Baracik—Barista Indonesia Yang Bisa Meracik—a coffee shop chain that became the face of Indonesia’s burgeoning specialty coffee scene. Baracik became a platform for Mikhael Rudy’s championship-winning beans, showcasing Indonesia’s potential on the world stage.
